1
Of David. A psalm.
I will sing of faithfulness and justice;
I will chant a hymn to You, O LORD.
1
A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and justice; unto Thee, O LORD, will I sing praises.
I shall sing of kindness and judgment when You bestow kindness upon me, I will praise you [with the blessing:] “Blessed be He Who is good and does good,” and when You perform judgment upon me, I will sing, “Blessed be the true Judge.” In either case, to You, O Lord, I shall sing.

2
I will study the way of the blameless;
when shall I attain it?
I will live without blame within my house.
2
I will give heed unto the way of integrity; oh when wilt Thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.
I shall concern myself I shall direct my thoughts to the way of integrity.
When will it come to me The straight path, to walk upon it, and I shall walk with the integrity of my heart even within my house, in private as well as in public.

I hate crooked dealing;
I will have none of it.

I will set no base thing before mine eyes; I hate the doing of things crooked; it shall not cleave unto me.

Perverse thoughts will be far from me;
I will know nothing of evil.
4
A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil thing.
