Psalms · Chapter 117

תהלים קי"ז

א׳ הַֽלְל֣וּ אֶת־יְ֭הוָה כָּל־גּוֹיִ֑ם שַׁ֝בְּח֗וּהוּ כָּל־הָאֻמִּֽים׃

1 Praise the LORD, all you nations;
extol Him, all you peoples,

1 O praise the LORD, all ye nations; Laud Him, all ye peoples.

ב׳ כִּ֥י גָ֘בַ֤ר עָלֵ֨ינוּ ׀ חַסְדּ֗וֹ וֶֽאֱמֶת־יְהוָ֥ה לְעוֹלָ֗ם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃

2 for great is His steadfast love toward us;
the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
Hallelujah.

2 For His mercy is great toward us; And the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Hallelujah.

כִּי גָבַר עָלֵינוּ חַסְדּוֹ. כְּלוֹמַר: וְאַף כִּי אֲנַחְנוּ, אֲשֶׁר גָּבַר עָלֵינוּ חַסְדּוֹ:

For His kindness has overwhelmed us That is to say: and surely we [must praise Him], for His kindness has overwhelmed us.

וֶאֱמֶת ה׳ לְעוֹלָם. שֶׁשָּׁמַר הַבְטָחָתוֹ שֶׁהִבְטִיחַ אֶת הָאָבוֹת (בראשית טו:יח-כא):

and the truth of the Lord is eternal For He kept His promise that He promised the Patriarchs.
