הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ ׀ הַֽלְל֣וּ אֶת־יְ֭הוָה מִן־הַשָּׁמַ֑יִם הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ בַּמְּרוֹמִֽים׃

Hallelujah.
Praise the LORD from the heavens;
praise Him on high.

הַֽלְל֥וּהוּ כָל־מַלְאָכָ֑יו הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ כָּל־צבאו [צְבָאָֽיו׃]

Praise Him, all His angels,
praise Him, all His hosts.

הַֽ֭לְלוּהוּ שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ וְיָרֵ֑חַ הַ֝לְל֗וּהוּ כָּל־כּ֥וֹכְבֵי אֽוֹר׃

Praise Him, sun and moon,
praise Him, all bright stars.

כּוֹכְבֵי אוֹר. כּוֹכְבֵי לַיְלָה:

ד׳
הַֽ֭לְלוּהוּ שְׁמֵ֣י הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְ֝הַמַּ֗יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר ׀ מֵעַ֬ל הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

Praise Him, highest heavens,
and you waters that are above the heavens.

ה׳
יְֽ֭הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֤י ה֭וּא צִוָּ֣ה וְנִבְרָֽאוּ׃

Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for it was He who commanded that they be created.

ו׳
וַיַּעֲמִידֵ֣ם לָעַ֣ד לְעוֹלָ֑ם חָק־נָ֝תַ֗ן וְלֹ֣א יַעֲבֽוֹר׃

He made them endure forever,
establishing an order that shall never change.

He hath also established them for ever and ever; He hath made a decree which shall not be transgressed.
חׇק נָתַן. בָּהֶם, זֶה יְשַׁמֵּשׁ בַּיּוֹם וְזֶה יְשַׁמֵּשׁ בַּלַּיְלָה וְלֹא יַעֲבוֹר אוֹתוֹ חֹק:
He issued a decree to them, that this one should serve by day and that one should serve by night. which will not change That decree.
ז׳
הַֽלְל֣וּ אֶת־יְ֭הוָה מִן־הָאָ֑רֶץ תַּ֝נִּינִ֗ים וְכָל־תְּהֹמֽוֹת׃

Praise the LORD, O you who are on earth,
all sea monsters and ocean depths,

Praise the LORD from the earth, Ye sea-monsters, and all deeps;
תַּנִּינִים. דָּגִים גְּדוֹלִים:
sea monsters Heb. תנינים, huge fish.
ח׳
אֵ֣שׁ וּ֭בָרָד שֶׁ֣לֶג וְקִיט֑וֹר ר֥וּחַ סְ֝עָרָ֗ה עֹשָׂ֥ה דְבָרֽוֹ׃

fire and hail, snow and smoke,
storm wind that executes His command,

Fire and hail, snow and vapour, Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
וּבָרָד. גְּלַצָ״א בְּלַעַ״ז:
and hail Heb. וברד, gresle or grezle in Old French, hail.
שֶׁלֶג. נֵיי״ף בְּלַעַ״ז:
snow Heb. שלג, neyf or nayf in old French, snow.
וְקִיטוֹר. עִנְיַן שׁוֹאָה שֶׁקּוֹרִין בְּרוּאִינ״ה בְּלַעַ״ז:
and vapor וקיטור, an expression of a mist called bruine or broine in Old French, mist, fog.
רוּחַ סְעָרָה. הָעוֹשָׂה אֶת דְּבָרוֹ וּשְׁלִיחוּתוֹ, וְאָמְרוּ רַבּוֹתֵינוּ (חגיגה יב:) שֶׁהַדְּבָרִים הַלָּלוּ הָיוּ תְּחִלָּתָם גְּנוּזִים בַּשָּׁמַיִם, וּבָא דָּוִד וְהוֹרִידָן לָאָרֶץ, לְפִי שֶׁהֵם מִינֵי פֻּרְעָנִיּוֹת, וְאֵין נָאֶה לָהֶם לִהְיוֹת גְּנוּזִין בִּמְגוּרָיו שֶׁל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא:
a storm wind which performs His word and His mission. Our Sages said (Chag. 12b): These things were originally hidden in heaven, and David came and brought them down to earth because they are kinds of punishment, and it is not fitting for them to be hidden in the dwellings of the Holy One, blessed be He.
ט׳
הֶהָרִ֥ים וְכָל־גְּבָע֑וֹת עֵ֥ץ פְּ֝רִ֗י וְכָל־אֲרָזִֽים׃
9
all mountains and hills,
all fruit trees and cedars,

Mountains and all hills, Fruitful trees and all cedars;
י׳
הַֽחַיָּ֥ה וְכָל־בְּהֵמָ֑ה רֶ֝֗מֶשׂ וְצִפּ֥וֹר כָּנָֽף׃
10
all wild and tamed beasts,
creeping things and winged birds,

Beasts and all cattle, Creeping things and winged fowl;

מַלְכֵי־אֶ֭רֶץ וְכָל־לְאֻמִּ֑ים שָׂ֝רִ֗ים וְכָל־שֹׁ֥פְטֵי אָֽרֶץ׃
11
all kings and peoples of the earth,
all princes of the earth and its judges,

Kings of the earth and all peoples, Princes and all judges of the earth;

בַּחוּרִ֥ים וְגַם־בְּתוּל֑וֹת זְ֝קֵנִ֗ים עִם־נְעָרִֽים׃
12
youths and maidens alike,
old and young together.

Both young men and maidens, Old men and children;
י"ג
יְהַלְל֤וּ ׀ אֶת־שֵׁ֬ם יְהוָ֗ה כִּֽי־נִשְׂגָּ֣ב שְׁמ֣וֹ לְבַדּ֑וֹ ה֝וֹד֗וֹ עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ וְשָׁמָֽיִם׃
13
Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for His name, His alone, is sublime;
His splendor covers heaven and earth.

Let them praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.

וַיָּ֤רֶם קֶ֨רֶן ׀ לְעַמּ֡וֹ תְּהִלָּ֤ה לְֽכָל־חֲסִידָ֗יו לִבְנֵ֣י יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל עַֽם־קְרֹב֗וֹ הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃
14
He has exalted the horn of His people
for the glory of all His faithful ones,
Israel, the people close to Him.
Hallelujah.

And He hath lifted up a horn for His people, A praise for all His saints, Even for the children of Israel, a people near unto Him. Hallelujah.
